It’s green and smells a bit like cow poo but to your dog its the taste of paradise. Green tripe is full of proteins, rich in calcium and phosphorus, low in fat, contains essentials fatty acids and is home to Lactic Acid Bacteria which form the basis of Probiotics. By restoring the probiotic levels in your animals digestive system they are better able to utilise the rest of their food.This can be particularly useful after your animal has had a course of anti biotics. Also containing gastric juices this is a great aid to teeth whitening and contributes to overall dental heath. Dog breeders have been using green tripe for years, especially prior to shows as it gives their dogs wonderfully healthy skin and shiny coats.
